inspire me with valentines day 1

Inspire me with lovers hot coco.  I was never that big of a fan for Valentines Day, until I met my husband Brad.  Our first Valentines day together was in Mexico with our now beautifully blended family.  I planned ahead and made a gift basket including a homemade card with pictures of us during our then short relationship.  I knew I was in love with him, because it truly was love at first sight.  He however, took his “game time” going there.  Well, he told me he loved me that Valentines day and that he could see sharing our lives together.  I now love Valentines day and want to celebrate it everyday.  Maybe, not everyday, but let’s celebrate together for the next 14 days.  xoxo

mondays menu, veggie verde enchiladas

These enchiladas are so easy and really delicious.   Also, super en-expensive and can be a one dish meal.  You can add chicken and rice if you want.  Actually you can put anything in a tortilla and make it a meal.  Enjoy! xoxo

weekend where to go, la villa in little italy

Brad and I love to attend farmers markets throughout the County.  Little Italy in San Diego has an amazing one.  While roaming the streets and vendors we came across La Villa.  A charming outdoor patio pulled us in.  The inside of the restaurant is cool too, but the patio is where we wanted to be.  Brad and I rarely get a table.  We always prefer sitting bar top and learning a little bit about the establishment through the staff.  We ordered the usual, two shots of good quality tequila and a wood fire margarita pizza.  The pizza was a perfect afternoon snack and tequila is always good.  The owner was there that day and we learned that she owned one of our favorite little Italian restaurants Trattoria   I Trully in Encinitas.  We enjoyed the afternoon stop and you will too… xoxo

a day with mimi, the formal invite

My precious Mimi is a freshmen and it’s time for her first formal.   So, the tradition is the girls ask the boys to the formal.  However, it can’t just be a will you go with me?   It has to be a little more special.  Mimi, staying true to herself,  baked the invitation.  Supper cute and such an incredible special memory.  Mimi called the Teacher ahead of time and had it waiting on his desk.  The invitation reads “Formal? Mimi”.  xoxo                                {all good invitations have a little sparkle}

fab finds solo on cedros

It’s no surprise to any of you by now; I love to stroll the streets of Cedreos in Solana Beach, California.  At Solo there is no end to the amazing one of a kind treasures that can be found.  Things are always changing on Cedros.  You are certain to find that one special “thing” you can’t leave behind and maybe even can’t find anywhere else.  Solo is a cool one story urban building.  It resembles an airplane hanger and the doors are always open.   I have my favorite go to items, like the beautiful coffee table books.  I covet them!  Or the individually displayed one sheet wrapping papers and of course satin ribbon in every color.  This is only part one of what Solo has to offer, so stay tuned for part two and what ever you do, leave yourself enough time to enjoy all that Solo is… xoxo
