mondays menu, easy cinnamon rolls

I almost always keep Pillsbury biscuits on hand.  They are an amazing short cut to making a quick grab and run bite in the mornings.  Not for me so much, but for the kids.  Well, not really kids, but when they were kids.   Actually, they eat these still and they’re not kids or even children for that matter.  Okay, I’m late to post because I’m loosing my sanity just a little.  I’m just exhausted from work and family demands.  At this very minute I’m hiding in my office, in hopes I can stay away from the chaos that surrounds me.   Hello?  Am I alone?  All my love to all of you and hang in there with me.  I will pull myself together.  I always do! xoxo

fridays flower, my giant pink rose

I know, it’s just a rose.  However, this rose is  to big and gorgeous to imagine!    I set Penelope next to it to give you an idea of how big this rose really is.  So, you get an idea of the size, Penelope is about 4 and a half pounds.  She is a  tiny dog and still looks tiny next to this rose.   Additionally, if you note the look on her face, she is clearly terrified the rose is going to eat her.  We have a small rose garden with about seven varieties.  This is the smallest of all the bushes and only gives me about 6 per year.   I wish I knew how to get more?  Any recommendations welcomed.   Have a beautiful weekend! xoxo

A few of my favorite things, the bling that surrounds me

My sweet little treasures greet me everyday.  I want to share them with you.  The vintage bling up above and the two photos below are my Grandmothers.  She was a complete kick in the pants until the day she died at 104 years old.   Not a day goes by that I don’t miss her or remember her witty come backs.   The crystal drop on my bed side lamp is from a friend who is battling cancer.  “I should probable capitalize cancer, but I hate it to much to give it that credit.”   I have always adored the crystal drop, but now keep it close to keep Danni in my prayers.  The bling lampshade below is adorned with a silk rose from our Nana, Mary.   Seeing it every day reminds me of how lucky I am to have her in my life.  I hope you all have small pleasures surrounding you.  They may be small, but they can bring on big smiles in your heart.  Love to all and to all a good night…  xoxo
