As usual, I find inspiration in unexpected places. After Christmas Mimi and I hit Forever 21. I accompanied her to help her use one of her gift cards. I don’t think I did anything to help her, but I helped my self to an adorable little box purse and several items with plenty of bling. I know, I know…I have no business shopping for myself at Forever 21. However, I have to tell you that a good eye and a little imagination can lead you to great treasures within the store. No one has to know you didn’t spend a fortune on them.
The little box purse was adorable on its own, but I saw it had bigger potential. By the time I made it through the enormous after Christmas cashier line, I had found two necklaces that would easily transform into alternate handles for my new little bag.
Here’s the scoop on how to: Each necklace has a clasp on one side already. All you need to do is pick up a similar clasp at Micheal’s and matching small jewelry rings to connect the clasp on the chain. Take one ring and open is slightly. I use two pairs of needle nose pliers. Nothing fancy or special. Hold the ring with one of the pliers and open with the other. Hook the clasp on the ring and connect to the chain on the necklace. Close the ring to secure the clasp and the chain. It’s that easy… xoxo
