Hey Loves, Happy Thursday! How refreshing does my infused water look? If you could actually tell me, you would likely say yum and I want some; right? Well, not only is it refreshing it’s also loaded with healthy benefits.
Let’s start off with you don’t need me to tell you that water is our most precious resource… literally, we can’t live without it! I’m not going to get all water conservation syco on you, but it really is the only thing that will truly provide for our lives, future and children’s future…”just saying”. Having said that, now we can move on knowing how important water is to everything.
Especially our health!
Here is my little confession before I go on gushing about all the benefits of grapefruit and mint infused water; it taste fantastic and because it tastes so flipping good, I drink more of it. The more I drink the healthier I am and the more hydrated and nutrient rich my body and skin are. It’s pretty much that simple. I don’t drink plain water. I drink infused all the time!
Water is in our cells and in our blood and in all of the tissues in-between, proper hydration helps our digestive system run smoothly, keeps our cells young and helps our immune system fight infection.
I really went searching for a definite Medical recommended amount of water to drink every day, but it seems everyone is different and therefore everyone’s requirement for water intake is based on the individually. There is the old saying that’s not medically based, drink 8 x 8 per day; drink eight-eight ounce glasses of water per day.
Skin and Anti-Aging benefits of Grapefruit.
The antioxidant vitamin C, when eaten in its natural form (in fresh produce as opposed to supplement form) or applied topically, can help to fight skin damage caused by the sun and pollution, reduce wrinkles and improve overall skin texture. Vitamin C plays a vital role in the formation of collagen, the main support system of skin. Hydration and vitamin A are also crucial for healthy looking skin, both of which grapefruits can provide.
As one of the most hydrating fruits in the world made up of 91% water (just below watermelon) and full of important electrolytes, grapefruit is a great snack to have on hand to prevent dehydration.
As an excellent source of the strong antioxidant vitamin C as well as other antioxidants, grapefruit can help combat the formation of free radicals known to cause cancer.
Detoxifying with grapefruit, because of its water and fiber content, helps to prevent constipation and promote regularity for a healthy digestive tract. Mint
My tip on storing mint, is to place the mint stem side up in a jar filled with water and place in the refrigerator. It last for at least one week if not longer.
Mint has one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any food. Learning how to use fresh mint in your diet, even in your water can promote a boosted immune system. Additional benefits of mint are improved oral health “huge benefits for me with my autoimmune disease.” It also can clear skin, congestion, and aid in weight loss. Mint helps to inhibit the release of histamine that causes allergies “I need all the help I can get,” and maybe one of the greatest anti-aging benefits is the natural stimulant that helps to relieve fatigue, depression and improves memory.
Infused directions, one glass or tumbler, one slice of grapefruit, one sprig of mint, ice and 7.2 to 8 alkaline water (the PH alkaline water is critical to your health).

Personally, prepare every day a glass of warm lemon water (at least one lemon). It acts as a weight loss aid because lemon juice is a digestive aid and liver cleanser. I keep on whining with regards to my digestive system because I have an irregular pooping and it really bothers me. So, my Mom told me that I should drink water with lemons more often to increase my metabolic rate. I like it though because of its antioxidant properties. Somehow, I find your anti-aging infused water helpful. I have tried it last Friday. I haven’t noticed any changes, but I feel so good.
