Hello Loves! I hope you had a smashing weekend. I’ve been busy making a few modifications to our guesthouse “the beach retreat,” and thought I should share.
For starters, if you weren’t hanging out with me here on the blog when I first started working on the guesthouse, you can check it out, here, here and here. I keep coming up with new additions. I added an upholstered head board, because I felt like the room needed some bigger pieces and the other headboard was sweet, but didn’t really support the room the right way. The curtains were just added, because the room needed the privacy option and honestly, a little more defined space. The drapes completely define the bedroom area now and when they are pulled wide open they look like a big canopy bed. I traded out the striped bar stools for white upholstered slipcovers and currently have white slipcovers being made for the green chairs. However, I’m having the back of the chairs done is a print with two matching kidney pillows for the seats. I’m also going to buy a white-slipcovered pull out bed to take the place of the futon, but that darn futon is so flipping comfortable…it’s hard to say goodbye. I will keep you posted with changes.
