feliz viernes amigos…happy friday friends

cinco de mayo celebrationSo…today kind of fell apart.  I planned my day perfectly and the post for these adorable mustache glasses (I will post tomorrow with the how too) for Cinco De Mayo margaritas and a sangria recipe to die for.  However, I had a little melt down when my precious camera had something seriously wrong with it right when I was ready to shoot pictures. I mean serious to the point of having to box it up and send it to ICU.  First I cried, then I panicked and then I decided to roll with it…grab some batteries… but not until I searched for an hour for my little camera…and then ripped off all the batteries in the house from every remote control and finally a trip to the store. I think my little Canon Power Shot will get us through this little bump in the road. Geeeez, I need a margarita!  Check in tomorrow for the sangria and wine glass how too.  Love and smooches to all of you. I appreciate you hanging out with me. xoxoxxoxo, Julie

ole’…little sombrero

sombrero cookieOle’ said the little sombrero hat. You can’t have Cinco De Mayo without your sombrero. You have to set the mood…fun…fiesta…margarita, then the siesta!  Are you with me? Here is the perfect little cookie for the Cinco celebration. The cookie is a Pillsbury sugar cookie, cooked as per the package. For the chocolate, I only use Hershey’s Symphony milk chocolate. You can find the melting direction here. I adhered the gum droops with a store bought tube of white icing and let it dry for about any hour. Once the chocolate is heated, roll the edges of the cookie into the melted chocolate and immediately roll into a bowl of sprinkles. The top of the gum droop was a little trickier. Drizzle the chocolate over the top and carefully move it around the droop to cover. I ended up picking the cookie up and dipping the droop into a small bowl of sprinkles. You can poor the sprinkles over the top as well.  It’s just a little messy. I wish I could tell you this was my idea, but it’s not. I saw this on Pinterest and have no idea whose genius created this idea.  BTW, please follow me on Facebook and Pinterest.  I will truly appreciate the support! Smooches and see you tomorrow. xoxoxsprinklesHershey's symphony chocolatesugar cookiesole hatssombrero cookiesxoxo, Julie

flower power

centerpiece ideaI’m exhausted! A friend needed an extra hand with  pulling some event details together. I set up an at home production and then help set up the venue this afternoon. I have 26 minutes to blog, shower and look fantastic…not sure I can pull it off?  Here are a few pics from today. Smooches and see you tomorrow. xoxocenterpiece ideascenterpiece ideascenterpiece ideassushi center piecexoxo, Julie
