diy home office, inspire a little space for me

diy office Okay, I had to take the time to do something with the little space I have carved out for me in the cottage.  Yep…this is it, no walls, no drawers, no storage. I carefully arranged the room to accommodate this old table; knowing that eventually I would have to give it a makeover. Eventually came yesterday. I still have some finishing touches, but for now I like it much better. All my stuff…is neatly organized under the skirt. I love…love the color and the random stencil  adds whimsy and fun. The paint was a fresh melon color mixed at ACE Hardware “BTW, my little local ACE is the bomb dizzle! I love those guys.” The stencil is by Martha Stewart and can be found at Micheal’s. For the skirt I used a table cloth and cut it in half, so I wouldn’t have to sew “I’m lazy.” I used a staple gun to attach the skirt, created pleats and topped if off with glued on tassel trim. My little chair slip cover is from Pier 1. The little (E) from Anthropologie  is what set my inspiration.  Make every day an event… Smooches xoxoe from anthropoligyAce Hardware paintdiy table projectmartha stewart stencildiy table projectxoxo, Julie
