Hello! How perfect is this office space? I’m completely smitten with just about every detail in the photo (btw-this office turns out to belong to this adorable designer Dallas Shaw). I’m dying to create a home office for a client or friend. I think this is because, I’m completely deprived “boo-who” of enough space to create my own office…Yep; I’m still in the corner. Kind of like a time out for grownups. Anyway, in my usual style, I set out to replicate the space only in the most economical way or maybe I was just looking for a way to punish myself. Either way here is the how to recipe and a few ideas to inspire you.
Ingredients and where to find fab finds:
1. A fab “as in totally fab” gold screen.
2. Gold small wall mirrors “honestly, you can find these at Homegoods” I see no reason to pay more.
3. A pair of perfectly shinny glass earns “I swear I don’t work for Homegoods, but it’s a no brain-er, you’ll find them there.”
4. One accent pillow from Etsy.com.
5. Hello? Just go buy some flowers…
6. One glass top cut to fit the desk. If you choose to go with sawhorse stands and paint them white yourself, this may have to be custom, so use a local glass shop and give them the exact dimensions.
7. One smashing white glass top sawhorse desk.
8. One white French armchair “my source would be a local consignment store.”
9. A pretty stack of books. If you don’t have books, go to a local used bookstore.
10. One rug… Dash and Albert, Pottery Barn or Homegoods.
{1. This is the exact Hollywood regency screen in the picture. I found a sources, Kathy Kuo Home with of price of $1,584.00. 2. Faux leather gold croc screen is a striking option…especially with a price of $155.00 at Overstock.com. 4. Another spray paint option with a price of $449.91 also at Lampsplus.com. Last…don’t be afraid to check at consignment stores and thrift shops.}
{1. Glass top found at Pottery Barn on sale now for $299.00. 2. Ikea glass top sawhorse desk for $139.99.}
{1. Arm chair from Restoration Hardware $329.00-$389.00. 2.Overstock.com $429.99. 3.Overstock.com $259.00. I have to be honest with you…I would never spend this much on one of these chairs, because I can find them at a consignment store and make them my own. You sure could do the same…}
