Oh…as in a total lusting kind of Oooh! When I saw this room I fell madly, completely into obsessed LOVE! The Interior Designer Spazio Rosso out of Boston has a style that captures everything I crush on. Lets just start with the show stopping French upholstered bed with gold feet “Simply said…Delicious”. It’s not likely that you will be able to replicate this bed without making a serious investment. I searched antique dealers in New Orleans and came across several that need some serious attention before they could ever be the belle of the ball, like this one. Personally, I would buy authentic and bring it to life, but for a quicker fix and not the budget buster of the real deal, Restoration Hardward has a beautiful option with the Lorraine bed. I would order the caned version and then have it fully upholstered after I applied the gold paint detail. You will end up with the same dramatic look without sacrificing one of your children’s college tuition’s.
For the side tables, it would be fun to go a little hipper, but you could easily find these side tables at a consignment or flea market and give them the appropriate face lift yourself. The other outrageously attractive detail in this room is the blue agate detail on the wall. I did trompe l’oeil and special paint finishes for years, so this is an easy project for me. Having said that, I would recommend you higher a professional trompe artist to achieve desired look.
Lastly the pink glitter fabric adds a whimsy and just right amount of pick pop against the white, gold and navy blue. I LOVE this room!!!! Smooches xoxo
