inspire me with dots on the centerpiece

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching the planning for the food, table and holiday embellishments is well underway.  Last month I started the table planning with the thankful place mats found here.  This weekend I got the centerpiece vase and gave it a little whimsical  twist by creating dots  with stickers and frosting the vase.   To accompany the vase I created candle holders out of old cups by frosting dots on the clear cups and painting gold dots on the white cups.  I then glued them together and tied them off with a brown bow.  Much, much more is to come.  Be sure to check out the blog daily.  You just might find something that inspires you with ideas for your embellishments for the Thanksgiving Holiday.   Make everyday an event… xoxo                 {Any vase will do.  I found this one at Homegoods}

{you can find these stickers at an office supply of drug store}

{Frosting spray found here.  Spray the glass outdoors.}

{The frosting is quick and drys fast.  When it’s dry, peel off the stickers.  I use a toothpick to get the sticker started if it’s stubborn.  Be careful to not scratch the frosting.  It’s very unforgiving.}

{For the dots, I use craft paint found here.  There is nothing better then a rubber pencil eraser to make perfect dots.}

xoxo, Julie
