Anyone who knows me, knows I covet my magazines. I have been this way my entire life. Most 5 year old kids want toys or candy, but not me! I can remember being 5 years old at the store with my Mom and running to the Sunset, House Beautiful, Architectural Digest and Better Homes and Gardens. Those days were always the most exciting days of my life. I could never get all of the magazines at the same time, but by the end of the month, I usually had all four. The list has increased over the years to include Traditional Home, Artful Blogging, countless others and my source for all things yummy, Cooking Light. I refuse to get subscriptions, because I enjoy the experience of getting all of them at the same time when new issues come out. “It’s an event for me.” Additionally, I subscribe to most on line, but still prefer pages.
Now you have an understanding when I say, there is almost nothing better for me than sitting alone with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and losing myself in the beauty of the pages or the clippings I have stored that intrigue or inspire me. When I want to lose myself in images I love, I make boards. This makes a perfect day for me! xoxo
