Laguna Beach Fab Finds

Fab Finds(I had a whole story before this, but decided it was to long…so, I’m starting here ;0).

Any-who onward with my fab finds. This last weekend Brad and I made our annual trip to the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach. Our first stop, as usual a margarita at Javier’s then onto the Pageant of the Masters and outdoor gallery pavilion. We spent hours there looking at all the amazing art. I always come back so inspired to take up painting again “used to be pretty good”, but then I think…where, where will I carve out space in my little beach cottage? Does anyone have any creative ideas for me? I always love a little inspire from you?

After slowly strolling the pavilion we make our way to the Festival. There are tons of artisans creating just about everything imaginable. Oh-do we ever have our favorites! The first stop Greg Thorne for his amazing silver and turquoise jewelry…two words, “flipping out of my mind lusting”, or maybe six words, but you get the point. Oh-and the lusting goes for Greg too. There is something irresistible about a man with long hair and a kilt…just saying.

IMG_5293The next stop is the glass blowing cage. This is where Brad and I will land for as long as we can stand the heat and stay on our feet. We try to watch at least one piece from start to finish. It’s really a magical artistry in motion. Then last, but never least we head over to Nick’s in Laguna; perfect hip atmosphere, exceptionally delicious food…every time, fab margaritas “so important” and of course outstanding service.

Loves…put this on your vacation agenda for next year. I have the link for the Sawdust Festival above and please come visit California next summer…retraction…anytime; because it’s always summer here. Smooches xoxo

  1. Hi Julie ,

Oh gosh I would totally love this Sawdust Festival! I’m trying to convince my hubby to move to California and discover all these places… but first we would need to find work…which isn’t so easy. When I was in LA I visited Olvera Street and I loved visiting the Villa Adobe with my aunt and discovering how LA started…
Thank you for sharing your fab finds, have a wonderful week-end! Oh and I forgot to tell you that I got your daughter’s book and I really enjoy reading it, I’m so amazed by everything she knows, such a wise young lady!!! XOXO Sherri

  2. Hi Sherri,
Lauryn is really something special. Proud is an understatement…as wise as she is, she is even more loving than she is wise, if you can imagine? Anyways, Brad and I love to explore and are always up for fun. We hit the Jason Mraz concert last night…amazing and tonight David Gray concert in Solana Beach. Deets to follow.

    smooches, xoxo
