mondays menu, cinnamon roll cake

Serious deliciousness! Every now and then you have to have something ridiculously naughty. That doesn’t mean you have permission to eat the entire pan, but you do get at least one piece, if you can stop at one.  There is nothing light about the recipe, so don’t hate me.  Just eat the darn cake and thank me later…  Smooches and make everyday an event.

  • 3 cups flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tb flour
  • 1 Tb cinnamon

Preheat the over 350~ and grease a 9×13 pan.  Mix the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, milk, eggs and vanilla together.  Stir in melted butter, slowly.  Pour into the greased pan.  Mix the topping (1 cup soft butter, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon.  Drop over cake evenly.  Swirl the topping and the cake mixture with a knife.  Bake @350~ for 30 to 38 minutes.

Top the warm cake with glaze by mixing 2 cups powdered sugar, 5 Tb milk and 1tsp. vanilla. Drizzle over the cake and enjoy!xoxo, Julie
