Ole’ said the little sombrero hat. You can’t have Cinco De Mayo without your sombrero. You have to set the mood…fun…fiesta…margarita, then the siesta! Are you with me? Here is the perfect little cookie for the Cinco celebration. The cookie is a Pillsbury sugar cookie, cooked as per the package. For the chocolate, I only use Hershey’s Symphony milk chocolate. You can find the melting direction here. I adhered the gum droops with a store bought tube of white icing and let it dry for about any hour. Once the chocolate is heated, roll the edges of the cookie into the melted chocolate and immediately roll into a bowl of sprinkles. The top of the gum droop was a little trickier. Drizzle the chocolate over the top and carefully move it around the droop to cover. I ended up picking the cookie up and dipping the droop into a small bowl of sprinkles. You can poor the sprinkles over the top as well. It’s just a little messy. I wish I could tell you this was my idea, but it’s not. I saw this on Pinterest and have no idea whose genius created this idea. BTW, please follow me on Facebook and Pinterest. I will truly appreciate the support! Smooches and see you tomorrow. xoxox
