Hi loves! Is anyone besides me getting in the festive mood? Festive, like craving pumpkin, the smell of warm seasonal candles burning and the comforts of food that brings your family together.
Well, if your not there, maybe this will help inspire you. This is a super easy pumpkin, cream cheese and apple tart with apricot glaze; Yum, right? The deets are below. Smooches and have a fab hump day
What you need:
Pepperidge Farms frozen pastry dough
3 Granny smith apples
½ Small can of pumpkin
½ block of light cream cheese
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 Tablespoon of brown sugar
3 tablespoons of sugar
½ Cup of butter
¾ Cup apricot jam
4 Tablespoons of water
Preheat oven to 400~Bring the pastry dough to room temperature and cut into squares and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. In a small mixing bowl combine the pumpkin, cream cheese, vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar. Place a dollop of the mixture in the center of each cut pastry and spread around, but leave a border. Peal and cut the apples into slices and place them on top of the pumpkin spread. Sprinkle sugar over the top of and place cut pieces of butter on top of each one. Cook for 40 minutes.
After you remove the pastries from the oven brush on apricot glaze. To make the glaze combine the apricot jam and water over medium heat until slightly thick.
