I can’t even believe I’m posting a recipe with brussel sprouts. What happened to the kid in me who swore she would never eat food that smells like sticky shoes? I made it through 30 some odd years of my life without ever trying a brussel sprout. Then I met my restauranteur husband, Brad. Brad has this way of asking you to try a bite of something and it goes something like…try a bite…no, really, try a bite…the next thing you know it’s in your mouth. I didn’t want to like it; mostly because I’m stubborn as they come and additionally I hate to give Brad the opportunity to ever tell me…I told you so! This time I gladly stand corrected. I LOVE brussel spouts!
I think we should call this particular recipe, Brussels a-la Cheryl. A bunch of our friends get together every year around Labor Day at Cheryl’s amazing home, check it out here.
