How to style a guestroom that also serves a second purpose as a study or library. This is for one of my virtual clients, but I totally relate to the concept. You see, Mimi just moved out “I’m sad” and I now have an empty room that will need to serve as a guestroom plus a nursery for grand-babies.
The idea of doing a daybed is a perfect solution, because you have a place for a sleep over guest and still enough space to multi purposes the room.
My client mentioned she like zebras and my inspiration was born. I don’t personally like to over-kill any theme, so subtle touches pull off the effect. As in any design project, there is the investment purchases (daybed) supported by affordable pieces to bring it all together. I recommended painting a twelve inch black stripe around the room to run through the center of the mirror.

Hello Julie, wow! This is a lovely post. Styling a multi purpose guest room is a nice thought. I love all your things which have needed for decoration. The couch is one of my favorite for the guest room. Thanks for posting.
Thank you Kate, I’m so glad you like it! Cheers
