mondays menu, slow cooked ribs

Slow cooked ribs.  Need I say more.  Ribs are Mimi’s favorite food on Earth.  This is usually what she orders up for her Birthday dinner.  Brad also ordered up my ribs for his Birthday dinner this year too.   These are actually really easy, but they do require a few steps, so being home for an afternoon, insures all the steps and gets you the perfect ribs.

{Too bad Mimi can’t have a Heineken with her ribs.}

Sauce, start with KC Masterpiece, a big bottle for 3 slabs of ribs.  Add 4 cloves of garlic, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 6 splashes of Tabasco and 3/4 cups of Grey Poupon mustard.

Salt and pepper raw ribs.  Cover with sauce on both sides.  Refrigerate for one hour.  Place ribs in a foil covered pan for on hour @ 350`.  After one hour, remove the foil and reduce the heat to 250` for 2 and half hours for 3 racks of ribs.  Remove from oven, lay ribs on a foil covered baking sheet and broil on high until chard and just beginning to blacken…  Enjoy!

San Diego weekend

Another beautiful and eventful San Diego weekend.  I try to count my blessings every day.  If I stray away and forget, I have my God, family, friends and pictures to remind me…   I’m living a life that is filled  with gratitude and great moments.  I have had an incredible two weeks.   Really!    I can’t wait to tell you more.  Make everyday an event.   Love to all.  xoxo{Christopher Dutcher, Courage to make a difference}

thurdays theme, bring on the red

Red has always been one of my favorite colors.  At one stage of my life, my entire home was  red.   This included the red kitchen cabinets, red Pierre Deux bedding, red cherry Mary Engelbreit nursery for my daughter Mimi and the red high gloss ceiling in my study.   That ceiling was so dangerous, but off the charts stunning!  I couldn’t get enough of it.  I have tamed the red in the home now, but still gravitate to red cars and hand bags.   Red just speaks to me.  What color speaks to you?         xoxo
