Hey Loves, Happy Hump Day! Now you know you’ve got to love it when I find a way to make drinking tequila healthy. I’m just saying if you’re going to have a margarita, you may as well through a little extra benefit in it…right?
So here’s the short scope on the creation. Brad is all about southwestern food and the flavors of the desert; so he comes home the other day with these prickly pears. He swears it’s going to make an amazing margarita. I had to admit the color was gorgeous, but they looked a little like a pink fuzzy balls on the inside and to me that didn’t really sound like something I was all thrilled about putting in my mouth…if you can feel me? Anyways, you all know me and I’m a good sport and can pretty much be bought with anything that contains tequila. So, I was in, but not before I looked up prickly pear. I was surprised to see that some people are considering this a superfood, but not the Mayo Clinic my go to health source. Here is my favorite benefit from eating a prickly pear. They may actually reduce the unpleasant side affects of a hangover. What better way to cure your hangover, then to ingest the remedy as you poor alcohol into your body?
