tuesdays table, use what you have, keep it fresh

It starts with the stuff you don’t know what to do with now that you have changed your mind or found something you like better.  In my case, I get bored and need change to keep things fresh.

This week it is a new table scape and I’m loving it!  The mirror “nothing special” was formerly the top of a rattan ottoman, doing time as a bedside table.  Apparently,  I found the bedside table I was looking for.   Therefore, the mirror became useless  until I made it the platter for my table centerpiece.   I layered the mirror with things I have.  The coffee table books are plentiful at my house.   A few books add height and interest.  Bring in a old pulley (what ever you can find) for texture, fresh roses form my garden, a Pottery Barn cheese board from our beautiful daughter Lauryn,  candles and always an  orchid.   You  now have fresh change and an interesting centerpiece.

What do you have lying around that could become a fresh, fun centerpiece for your table?   I would love to see what you come up with… Make everyday an event. xoxo

xoxo, Julie
