{homemade whipped cream and fresh strawberries}

There is no substitution for homemade whipped cream.  None!  It is so easy and so worth the little extra effort when you have gone to the trouble of serving a dessert.  You can short cut the cookie, the cake, but not the whipped cream.   Once you make homemade, you will never go back. xoxo{fluffy white mounds of whipped cream}

Home Made Whipped Cream

  • one pint of heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • one chilled mixing bowl

Chill a mixing bowl with ice and water for 2 minutes.  Empty and dry.  Poor heavy whipping cream into chilled bowl and begin mixing with a beater.   Gradually add sugar, then vanilla.  Mix until white fluffy mounds.  Don’t over mix, or you will end up with butter…
