We are completely infatuated with the food, service and atmosphere at Davanti Enoteca in the Del Mar Highlands. Brad and I headed out on an Evarts a go go last Friday and were completely blown away. I’m honestly struggling to convey how happy I am about this place. The space is filled with eclectic details that are warm and charming. Brick, arches, wood beams, chalk boards, windows, bar seating, cool lighting, wine bottles, low tables, high tables and community tables as well. The menu is more about tapas, not big entrees. Exactly how Brad and I prefer to eat.
We were graciously greeted by Patrice, the Assistant General Manager. She was amazing and really sets the standard high. Of course we ordered margaritas. They were made exactly as we requested. Our servers were engaging and informative. We ordered the brussel sprout salad, squash blossoms and signature dish, table side polenta with ragu. My mouth is actually watering just recounting the experience, OMG! We then met Corporate Executive Chef, Jaysen Euler in from the Chicago location. Brad and Jaysen were pretty adorable with their combined restauranteur knowledge. We were completely satisfied with every incredible detail of our meal and service, but maybe just one more bite? A gorgeous chocolate ganache “I mean chocolate” dessert and then my new favorite sweet treat, lemon tiramisu. You have got to trust us on this one. On a scale of one to five. Five being the highest and described as marry me please. This is a Marry me please! Just go now and thank me later… xoxo
